To My Daughter

Take heed now little one
Do not what I've done
Driving without lights
Just waiting for the sun.

Crossing roads with closed eyes
Hoping not to hear the cries
Ignoring the gloom forecast
Just waiting for blue skies

Speeding around the bend
On no one you depend
going just as fast as you can
Just waiting for the end

Slow down instead little one
close your bright eyes to none
in darkness, turn on those beams
and Just create your own sun.
